HELLO ALL!
I went to bed at 1030pm last night i slept ok til 1.15pm then i was in pain so i had some panamax elixir. then had a relatively manageable nights sleep today after break fast had 2 advil but by 1 pm after picking up a coles click and collect order which they stuffed up gave me the wrong strength roasted coffee (they refunded me the money back but i still don't have the coffee i ordered (i got home and i was in pain) so took 2 more advil and at least went to bed and slept like a dead person got up at 3.15pm now almost time for a coffee and some panadol. (some moments it feels fine like nothing is wrong and other times it feels like it is ready to drop off, like someone is hacking away at it with an ice pick) I am praying an earlier appointment can be found;-( I also pray that there isn't a need for surgery
Kathy let me know how you get on with the seeds collection company.
PJ nice pictures that is for sure. yes pets when patting them calm the BP owners of pets have lower rates of having a stroke it has been documented. good luck with the BP monitor That alone would make mine skyrocket!
time for coffee and resting on the couch (Satan duty tomorrow) to hook up the ups battery pack to his modem and see if his phone line is working again. B e safe and god bless and be with you all

Some of my neighbours have tulips . . . but not me . . .

matina, hope you slept better last night. How are you feeling today? Let us know. Rishi is asleep on my knees just now, and Sunnya is patrolling around the house. It's a bit too rainy and cold to go outside. I can feel my BP dropping as Rishi snoozes!

Katy, we've had rain here this morning, but not too heavy at all. It's grey and foggy outside and about 10 degrees. My expensively repaired back deck is doing just fine in the rain. Sadly, my DIY $25 fix didn't seem to stop the leak in my front deck. This drips down on the edge of the front veranda and doesn't do any harm, but I'd really like to stop it. Have one more place to try with my waterproofing spray . . . once it stops raining and the deck dries out a bit. That surgeon consults in Katoomba so I wouldn't have to drive to Bowenfels for my first appointment. However, any op would probably be in the Lithgow Hospital . . . about the same drive as to Penrith, but a much easier and nicer drive. I had both my cataract operations out there. My friend's knee goes up and down . . . gets better when he rests it . . . worse when he walks. He says he won't try for a knee replacement operation because it would take years to have done and then heal. He's 73 now. So I really don't know what he'll do. Like you, I'm over the Queen's funeral now. It's gone on too long for me. I wish Charles well. He's got a tough job ahead.

OK . . . will close and have a quiet afternoon . . . maybe a nap later. Bye, everyone . . .

HELLO ALL!
@KATHY the mystery box was Telstra stuffing up! and sending out another modem which is not needed I didn't open the box inside the box as it had modem written on it so no need to proceed any further and if i did open it and tried to return it there would be a charge for doing so. So i kept the box sealed and it now wont be a charge added to Satan's account. however Satan believes we stole his new telephone as he thought it to be a new phone. After explaining this multiple times it isn't a new phone he still believes it was and that we stole his new phone. I came so close to opening the box and telling him to put it where the sun don't shine if i opened the box then Telstra wont accept it back (which i still have to find a store to return it too) I swear he will be the death of me!!!
I now have connected the UPS battery pack to the modem and everything works fine got a nice Indian lass that helped me through and disabled the message bank for him and extended the ringing time of the phone because no matter how long one calls a deaf person he will never hear. So after a an hour and a half of pure hellish frustration we left. then went past my aunty where i got a nice surprise of seeing my cousins together after about 6months of not seeing them they bought mum and i subway and we had a nice lunch and coffee there then went past to see my grieving uncle (by this stage knee is throbbing) we stayed for half an hour then on the way picked up some fruit and vege and came home and crashed for an hour of comatose sleeep.
PJ good luck with your appointment hoping no operation will be needed. keep us posted.
I now need another coffee and some more pain relief stick a fork in me i am sooo DONE!
Be safe everyone and god bless and be with you all.

matina, boy, that was indeed a technological nightmare! I can imagine the stress of trying to explain it all to a stubborn and non-technological older person. Been there, done that. I can remember my days while I was still working, years ago, trying to get our charity's mobile phone system changed. Anyhow, sounds like you've got it sorted out as well as can be. My own three-part system (computer plus backup computer, with both Kindle Fire and iPhone) is working well and I can stay online even if I have a failure or two. And the iPhone's 'hotspot' function can keep me going online even if the NBN goes down. The fog rolled in this afternoon and completely blanketed the house. I didn't go out at all. A bit of light rain and I hope we don't get more up here. I think it's been heavier along the coast. I know Katy got more. Glad you got out with your mother and saw your rellies. So very sad. Probably no op for me for a while. Will work on reducing my meds for now. Upcoming BP tests may show a way.

With that, I'll sign off . . . bye, everyone . . .

matina, hope you're feeling better today. Fog has gone so I don't have any pictures of what it looked like. Will try again next time. Very light rain and about 12 degrees, but feels warmer. Sat on the patio with Sunnya for a while. Now have the central heating on 'low' and have been watching my birds finish up their seeds. Only cockies and rosellas for the past few mornings.

Katy, sorry to hear about your beautiful azaleas. My backyard flowers are doing just fine. Many people in this area grow really exotic trees and flowers. I think it's because of years of influence by the Leura Garden Festival (which is coming up soon). I can hardly imagine what those people are going through, who lost homes twice and are facing more flooding. It's easy to say that they should just leave and live somewhere else . . . but how and where? Am feeling very grateful here in the mountains.

Might head out to the shops later for a few little things. Most of my Woolies' orders are now delivered to my (slightly damp) front doorstep, which makes everything very easy. I'll get more expensive cat food next week, when Rishi is due for her regular checkup. Actually, she's never been better than over the past 2-3 months.

Yes, Rishi is due for a good face wipe . . .

HELLO ALL!
We had another busy day and i am so trashed i'm in a world of pain but tomorrow i am not moving off the couch after scoffing advil for the first injury today i have gone cold turkey on inflamatories and i am paying the price but i need to take a break from it so now it is only panadol based pain relief if i have a very bad night i may start the mobic the Dr gave me for a while to help the recovery along. I need to get back some normalcy I just wish what was wrong i should have insisted on the imaging to begin with so we all know what the hey is going on;-(
PJ nice pic it shows one ducking for cover another looking up and the other one screaming "INCOMING"!

matina, not very much fog around my house today . . . a bit rolled in, in the late afternoon. Light rain on and off. Woollies delivery just arrived.

So sorry about your pain. I don't know much about Mobic but just read up on it. Hope you can reduce the pain tonight and have a good rest tomorrow.

matina, glad to hear that you're feeling a bit better today. We've just had two short thunderstorms/hailstorms. Interrupted my bird feeding! And I had to turn the modem off, just in case. Sun has some back out now, and the rosellas and cockies have resumed on the front deck. I had a very nice golden pigeon visit me while I was sitting out in the patio, quite a big one and very tame. I so had to go up and get some extra seeds for him/her.

Katy, see if that picture is showing now. I tried to get some fog shots for matina, but it wasn't really all that foggy yesterday afternoon. Sunny now and not so cold. Hope you have a good hot dog outing today and then some restful reading! And such a relief that Camden escaped more flooding.
