KATHY yes i also hear don the news that the government is giving the homeowners in Lismore the option to rebuild their homes or to allow the government to buy it back from them as if the house was still on the block of land ei what it was worth prior to the flooding. I don't know why council allowed and permitted for folks to build on land that had a high chance of flooding it is unconscionable.
I have had a crappy day dealing with Satan's stuff age proofing it so he doesn't to stupid things to his home policy and when dealing with companies that look at a power of attorney document like it is toilet paper makes me so fricking angry ;-{
oh i have noticed social media all up in arms over Brittney Griner and her 9 year sentence to hard labor in a Russian prison charged by taking CBD oil vape vials into the country knowingly.
1 she knew they were not permitted but she still did it anyway.
2 one must respect another countries laws or face the consequences and their punishments.
3 when one doesn't realize the political repercussions that can come into play at any given time is no reason to play ignorant.
4 when in another country ones behaviour must be above reproach as you are representing not only your culture and country but one must have self respect before it can be given to others by respecting that country and its laws.
5 We all know she is being made and example of and the sentence is excessive especially in this day and age. but consider this have we all forgotten that at least she isn't being executed for it.
6 I will never forget when i was just 16 years old in 1986 when Kevin Barlow and Brian chambers were executed hanged in Malaysia for possession 179g of heroin they showed it on the news and i still see that scene. It was what the Malaysian court sentenced them to. ever since then our governments reiterate to us all be aware of the laws in any country you go to.

8 I had some panadol with me when we went to Greece for the first time i thought it is over the counter paracetamol it is allowed world wide. to my amazement it wasn't and customs informed me of it and they took it off me and destroyed it. I told my cousin about it he hit the roof (saying they were just being ass hats as they don't recognize panadol brand so they destroyed it). So I then asked him what they used for headaches in Greece he said Depon (having never heard of this before) we stopped and got some after reading the label it had the same amount of paracetamol as the panadol did 500mg so i lost 2 packets of panadol big deal but i was upfront on the customs declaration & about all my other medications and letters from doctors etc I was given no problem on them.
9 even our laws say one shouldn't jay walk etc most of have done it at some point with no one saying a thing but it does carry a fine, but in other countries it is a jail able offense not just a fineable offense. In some other countries men and women cant hold hands even if they are married. you cant take photos in certain parts of certain countries etc drinking alcohol smoking etc etc the list is endless one must research things very well before embarking on a journey if one is to hopefully be respectful & abide by the laws of that county and have the hope that you will return home safe. It is best to ask if your in doubt you can always write to that countries embassy and ask what is permissible.
10 let us not forget to be compassionate/empathetic to another's misfortune no one should relish another human beings suffering. I will leave you with something my 6th grade teacher told me once never ASSUME because you make an ass out of you and me ASS U ME!
