Hi Pj i love the fairie statue too it would look great in my garden That's the kind of shop I love looking through that's what's great about the mountains lots of little boutique shops I used to drive to little places down the coast with my parents as a teen we loved stopping at little country shops especially the ones with home-made things quilts or jams etc just had a storm roll through dropped the temp which I'd good watered the garden as well how are things going with you improving I hope matina busy out n about I see it's a bit cooler your way today enjoy your deliveries take care everyone

Katy, that big storm blew through here too. In fact, it's still a bit windy. Temperature dropped about ten degrees. No damage done in my neighbourhood, though. Thanks again for the great snow-cat photo!

My 2 pm visitor wore me out. Stayed until 5:30 . . . and then I had a nap!

Rishi and I are now enjoying my favourite recliner chair.

Good morning Pj oh what a stunning photo of the Pool of Siloam I don't suppose your allowed to paddle your feet in there it looks really tempting your so lucky such a gorgeous area yum I'd like to.see the finished gingerbread house i did see them at the shops where you can buy and assemble yourself I'd be tempted to eat it before it was

matina, I've recovered after yesterday's long afternoon . . . friend of a friend who had lost his partner . . . I think he needed someone to talk to. I went straight to bed afterwards and had a long time. Only 16 degrees this morning, but nice and sunny. Sunnya and I spent some time out in the backyard and it was really quite warm, so long as I stayed out of the breeze. Hope you enjoy your massage!

Katy, I've never regretted retiring up here. It's even better than I expected. And of course, I'm right next to the NP, so I can just stroll out of my driveway and into the bush. There are two good lookouts on either side of my house (because I'm down near the Point) so I can easily take visitors for beautiful views even if they don't want to walk far. And of course Sublime Point is the best view in the mountains, so they say.

KATHY yes an nice massage today and i finally spent most of the afternoon on the phone with medicare as i couldn't lodge the tele consult for dad so he can get reimbursed for the service after spending half the afternoon on the phone and ringing up twice i finally managed to get a lovely lady on the phone and she was patient and kind and waited till we did all that a breath of fresh air and it is so hard to find really nice people who want to help others out and enjoy their job. ahhh just like it used to be where customer service was just that.
time for coffee and then expecting a friend over for dinner.

matina, really . . . that's all the photos I have so far! I'm afraid the gingerbread house might already have been eaten by the family! Glad you had a nice massage and finally found a nice person at Medicare to help you. Once, years ago, when I was having trouble with Centrelink, I was put through to Centrelink Hobart (the Australian international Centrelink) and they were absolutely great. You tend to remember those wonderful helpers . . .

Just gave the birds a tiny late afternoon feed (something I don't do often) and attracted a couple of crimson rosellas. Haven't seen them for a while.

Screen door open and a nice breeze is flowing through . . . lovely early summer's day . . . sun slowly setting over Katoomba.

Pj I think you maybe right that gingerbread house was doomed before it was finished by the look of that gorgeous little boys face yeah I'm with him eat it well according to the bom it's snowing down south about 2 or 3 hours from here it's cool 20c wind icy keep going wouldn't a white Xmas be lovely how are the fuzzies doing I hope your relaxing today matina, yeah isn't it nice when you find someone old school who's willing to help it's rare these days Hugs all god bless

matina, what are you doing today? Windy here, but very sunny . . . I was able to sit in a sunny spot, accompanied by Sunnya, in the backyard, and it was quite nice out of the wind. Could be that I drive over to the PO after 4 pm to see if I have any packages.

Katy, I didn't receive any new photos overnight, so I suspect that the gingerbread house is gone! They're enjoying quite a few pre-Christmas activities over there, including an evening parade with police cars, fire engines and decorated floats. Eleven more days to go!

lynesi, good to hear from you. Weather is warming up nicely here on the other side of the planet.

PJ what a shame on that gingerbread house it would have been nice to see its finished version ;-( you can keep all the sunny spot you want we just went to pick up a few basics and scripts at the chemist and 20 minutes while i waited in the car i got burnt to sa crisp and it was overcast tilli parked the car then the clouds parted and roasted me right through.
KATHY I so wish i was there enjoying your cooler temps. snowy's not been well and it has put a real dampener on everyone in the house
