Good morning, all!

Had a nice, uneventful weekend. It was hot so I stayed at home all weekend enjoying my fan and the occasional AC when it got too hot in the afternoons. I wish I had your cold temperatures. Actually, I sometimes wish it was warm when it’s very cold here but when it’s hot I wish it was cold. I guess we all wish for what we can’t have

The typhoon had a change of course and it looks like it’ll be heading Northeast:


PJ, lovely owls you’ve got there. I don’t have any knickknacks around the house. Never did. My mom did like to collect a few souvenirs from her travels to China and I’ve kept a couple.
Kathy, it was very nice of you to bake the cake for your grandkids. Do you bake from scratch or use a box of cake mix? I’ve always used the box ones. I have made cookies from scratch, but they never taste as good as store bought ones.
Matina, I’m glad to hear you and your mom got out of the house and had a nice visit with your friends. I’m sure Yogi missed you both even if he didn’t seem to

Alessa, yes, I have lots and lots of knick-knacks. My son says it's because I haven't moved house often enough. And my brother used to send me lots of things from our childhood. So hoping that the typhoon will miss you. Take care.

Katy, blowing a gale up here and so I really couldn't sit on my patio for long. Sunnya gave it a try, though. Fuzzies and I are up in our warm living room now, with the central heating going.

Hi Alessa oh lord it's safer if I don't attempt to bake it never turns out my hubby is the cake, muffin maker from scratch the kids always ask him for cupcakes Pj that cocky is scary big in that photo it looks like it could carry you off is it demanding more seed I'm having a lazy day no school pick up ,my grandson is attending a sports carnival for special needs kids he went on the bus which I'm told was an old double decker one the kids loved it
Matina I wish you all the best and that things get sorted with Satan maybe you'll get some peace after all is done we can pray for it ok so coffee on blanket book yep I'm settled for the day take care everyone

matina, hope things are going OK for you today. Sunnya and I were out in the backyard, because thee wind has dropped and it was nice and sunny, despite 10 degree temperature. Not planning to go anywhere today, though I might take a walk around the neighbourhood.

Katy, great cat photos! Sounds like you have a nice day planned! My local cockies are all fed and have gone. I toss a few seeds into the corner of the deck, to get them to move away before I feed them. I'm sure your grandson is going to enjoy his outing. I also love those buses, which are used up here in the mountains.

It was another home day today, but busy booking appointments and taking to many many people.
1 holistic appointment for mum on Thursday
2 a geriatric assessment for Father on Tuesday
3 i am stressed to the maximum.

KATHY enjoy your relaxing day i have had to much around with a new phone familiarising myself with it and setting up apps i want and need and deleting ones i don't want, this amongst everything else is super busy and daunting too, ahhh the unknown is really doing my head in as i am cringing number 2 having no idea how he will react. oh lord give me strength to endure.

Campbelltown City Council to trial bin locks to stop garbage-raiding cockatoos in Sydney




Morning Pj well it looks like some cockatoos are in trouble the councils putting locks on garbage bins to try n stop them from getting in the rubbish, trouble is they're really smart I wouldn't put it past the cockatoos to pick the locks, but yeah they are making a mess ooh I love that stained glass owl is it in the windows or hanging really gorgeous matina now you have a target date all you have to do is get thru the wait my thoughts and prayers are always with you mwah im off to deliver the boys school bag yeah long story but it's got his lunch in it so can't starve the 6'4 boy a drive thru coffee on the way I think . Katy, hope you get the lunch delivered in time! Otherwise, big disappointment for a big guy! My cockies leave my bins alone. Don't know what would happen if I stopped feeding them! Rishi on my bed this morning and Sunnya watching me from outside, on the patio table. Guess they wanted breakfast.

12 today but feels colder, with a breeze coming and going. Cloudy and slightly bleak. Not much else to report.

Kathy i hope the big guy is grateful for the super nannie express delivery! maybe you should let him go hungry one to see if he ever forgets his bag /lunch again lol super smart cockies (so if council locks the bins how will the garbage trucks collect them?)
me i am just waiting for Dday and when the S***T will hit the fan. very anxious on how this will all go. It is easy for them to turn up make a decision and then walk away where as we are left to deal with the constant calls and abuse that will obviously follow. however the cards will fall where they may i just hope we are not one of them;-(

Morning Pj remember the Vcr eating the video tape, or the car cassette player spitting it out i told the kids about cassettes etc even showed them a couple we still have they looked horrified oh lord if you stopped feeding those birds they'd be lined up against the windows you'd be trapped matina get out of the house have a nice lunch enjoy a break for a bit me I'm cleaning hubbies going to the old farts retirement lunch they get together once a month he enjoys it well the vacuum is calling but so is the coffee pot hmmm coffee wins be safe out there

Jade tree blossoms . . .

matina, first day of winter! Hope you'll have a good day. Somewhat warmer up here, compared to a couple of days ago, and sunny. Had some time out in my backyard with Sunnya. Took a few photos. Not sure what I'll do this afternoon.

Katy, wow! Speaking of ancient VCRs, I even remember my grandmother's 78 rpm phonograph records and her enormous wooden wind-up phonograph, stored away in her garage. My brother and I used to use the records as (dangerous) frisbees, before frisbees were invented. Probably worth more than $100 each these days. Yes, those birds . . . I've cut down a lot on the feeding. I wish I could find a way to feed just the little ones. Coffee vs. vacuuming . . . very funny!

PJ beautiful picture of the blossoming jade tree. 1st day of winter and we had a top of 20 hmmmm it has to get better than this doesn't it????
KATHY vacuuming vs coffee and hubby is out having lunch with buddies i say screw the coffee and the vacuuming go and get something nice for lunch and go surprise your daughter for lunch. then have coffee with something wicked to eat.
I just found out one of my favourite sites has gone down forever ;-( very sad
