matina, hope all is going OK today. And that things will improve as the week goes on. 8 degrees and cloudy up here. Have my central heating going. Postposed next week's Penrith urologist appointment but soon will be going in for my long-awaited sleep apnea test . . . which is right here in Leura. Tomorrow I'll meet up with my Lithgow friend for a cappuccino in Katoomba.

Katy, yes, I'm surprised that my white cyclamen is doing so well. Am very pleased. No rainbow lorikeets on my front deck for months now, nor any king parrots. Cockies, rosellas, currawongs, and yesterday a kookaburra. Sunnya is keeping a close eye on them right now because Rishi slept in! My non-tooth seems to be better now. No Panadol. Take care.

proof of life here cough has eased up a smidge but still struggling alot.
spent most of the day registering yogi as a breeding pup and had issues with that too then centerlink although i was on the phone for over 2 hours but i had an amazing lady called cara who was awesome patient kind and helped me avoid going into centerlink twice 1 for booking an appointment and 2 for helping me with all the issues i had to tackle for my father and she even provided me with advice about my own stuff the most outstanding experience i have ever had with ANY government department and especially centerlink i was pinching myself thinking it must be a dream. I was so gobsmacked left me feeling great after all that. then had banking stuff to deal with. got most of my stuff done but waiting for a call back from the geriatric community nurse handling my fathers case etc concerning his blood tests results. etc
hoping they will call tomorrow. had to cancel massage appointment because of us being sick. have scheduled that for next week.
time to park my but on the couch medicate myself some more and relax before bed

matina, so glad to hear about your Centrelink experience. I had to deal with Centrelink International, in Hobart, and I was also super pleased with their great service. Hope that the geriatric community nurse will ring tomorrow. I'll write more later. Rishi is currently sleeping on my knees.

Hi Pj how are you today How good is this photo of seagulls ready for take off my son inlaw had a business lunch at the opera house where the seagulls actually grab food off the trays the waiters are delivering they are so violent they're now training service dogs to stop the birds from attacking the food He saw one waitress had a whole hamburger snatched while 3 other birds surroundrd her for the chips light rain 12c matina isn't it so nice when you get the right person who doesn't mind going out of they're way to help you navigate nightmare that's is centrelink we were lucky as well with getting someone who knew what boxes to tick for our grandson blanket day hot lunch

It’s July and the weather is getting hotter and hotter over here. It’s going to be at least 36C today so I’ll be staying home where there’s AC. Would rather be in Antartica right now! My US brother is coming in 2 weeks and my Peru brother is coming in August. Mom’s anniversary ceremony will be on August 10th so we’ll all attend it. Can’t believe it’s been almost a year since my mom passed away.

matina, hope you’re feeling better soon. Being sick is the worst! Just be glad you’re not in the hospital.
pjm, good to hear Rishi and Sunnya are keeping an eye in those birds. Seems to me that Rishi sleeps more than Sunnya Give them a few cuddles for me.
Kathy, seagulls seem to be opportunistic birds, snatching food in a surprise attack. Good idea about the trained dogs. Glad I don’t live near the ocean.

matina, how are you going today? Hope things are getting better for you and your mother and family. I drove over to Katoomba this afternoon and had a cappuccino with my Lithgow friend. He's had to give up walking for a few days, due to more problems with his knee. But he's confident that it will get better. Quiet evening ahead for me and the fuzzies.

Katy, great seagull photo! I've also heard that they can be a real nuisance . . . kind of like my cockatoos. Or the ibises. It's cool and rainy up here today. Fire going now and . . . very good news . . . Rishi seems better than ever. She was chasing and playing with Sunnya earlier today, which is pretty unusual. I don't know if it's the Feliway or the low dose of steroids.

Alessa, so glad to hear that your brothers are visiting. That's such great news. But sad anniversaries . . . yes, I know. You can send her love. That's what do, with all my memories of loved ones. But hot weather! That's why I prefer my beautiful Blue Mountains. Take care.

Kathy lucky you i have had a lot of phone calls to make of late even being sick i cant relax and just sleep eat rest repeat;-( I am so grateful to that young lass from centerlink oh bless her she saved my bacon and then some awesome!!! simply outstanding!!when things settle a little i will call and compliment her to centerlink i just don't only whinge when things go wrong i certainly go out of my way to commend folks who deserve it too but there have been few and far between.

Katy, enjoy your outing with your granddaughter. Sounds like quality time. After more than 65 years, I still remember my father taking me to the library every week, and starting my reading habit.

Kind of cold today, but no wind or rain. Rishi is watching the cockies. Yesterday, after I complained about the lack of king parrots in the area, six showed up on my front deck!

Hi Pj I wonder if your fuzzies would gently pat the budgie this was so cute but I wonder what thoughts the kitty was having we had a good couple of hours at the library my granddaughter has befriended the librarian she was helping her scan books being returned:lol: she took out a good number of books as well I had coffee in the Cafe they have there was a nice day matina shopping today then home hope your getting better stay under the blankets best medicine ever oh and a book coffee snacks hugs always

matina, how are you doing today? Hope you're feeling better. I was out in the backyard, in the sun, with Sunnya, but it gradually got a bit too cold for me. Sunnya has the best winter coat I've ever seen. Now inside, enjoying my central heating.

Katy, no, I wouldn't trust my fuzzies with a budgie! I'm not sure they'd do anything to it, but I don't think it would be worth the risk! Sunnya once brought a bird into the house, and let it go, and I rescued it. I think she was just trying to show it to me! 7 degrees up here in the mountains now, but the wind makes it feel colder. Driving over to Leura soon for meds and my special sprouted bread. So glad to hear that you enjoyed a good library outing with your granddaughter.
