My Japanese maple as seen from my front deck . . .

matina, hope the doctor's appointment today goes well. And that you get your computer affairs in order. Sitting and waiting for my gutter cleaner guy to arrive. Hope he's not too late. Sun in and about . . . about 22 degrees.

Katy, yes, everyone praises the Hydro . . . but it's not cheap. So many coffee shops and cafes around these parts, we're spoiled for choice, but the Hydro has the best view. Not much else to report.

Bye for now . . .

HELLO ALL!
PJ COMPUTER will have to wait for Saturday as it will require updating techy friend updated my desktop to windows 11 it is only 2 weeks old and already a truck load of updates are needed i thought windows 10 was bad oh my lord folks strap yourselves in. In my humble opinion windows XP was the best version ever.
KATHY yes apparently the calcification i have growing inside my achilies heel had a flare up like gout its grating on the tendon as my foot moves hurts like someone is grating a knife inside the tendon. I did the right thing with a steady consumption of advil and apparently i should have continued the predislone for longer as i was in so much pain i cut 1 tablet in half had 1 half one night and 1 the other half the other night apparently i am now supposed to do that again for a few more nights as it improving slowly with cold vinegar compresses and elevating it. so celery for me too to try and flush any uric crystals out but he seems to think i will need an ultrasound he believes the calcification has grown more and is compromising my tendon which may mean surgery where they go in and try to scrape the calcification off the tendon carefully without cutting it or fraying it oh lord just thinking about that make me cringe in pain.
time to go visit my cousin and have dinner.
WOLF OUT!

matina, another Maine snow photo for you . . . an old National Parks 'gatehouse' building right near where my niece and her family live and take their winter walks. More snow coming down there right now . . . So glad to hear that you have your computer work lined up for Saturday. Hope you get everything fixed and properly updated. I made my peace with Windows 11 a long time ago. Learned the iOS when I got my first iPhone during my working days, when mobile phones were invented, and then Android when I got my Kindle Fire a few years back. I 'grew up' using DOS about 1980 or so, and still remember my transition to Windows during the later 1980s. Hoping your calcification and heel troubles are fixed soon as well. Sounds terrible! The same steroid helps my Rishi. She's been quite good over the past few months, although I wish she'd put on more weight. Sunnya is getting nice and chunky. My French handyman came at 2 pm and cleaned all my gutters and . . . as a bonus . . . checked and cleaned the troublesome drain next to the west side of my house (not as bad as I thought) and then finished his two hours by repairing the loose brick (trip hazard for older visitors) right in front of my veranda! And . . . wait for it . . . ta da . . . he only charged me $150! Thought it would be twice that. Next time he comes he'll bring hedge trimmers and trim all the overhanging trees near my gutters. So I have a feeling of 'accomplishment' this afternoon, if you can say that when all you've done is pay the bill! Only about 22 degrees now, sunny with a nice breeze. I sat out front in my wooden driveway chair for a while. Now waiting for the sunset.

Bye for now everyone . . .
