While I hope Dune does well, since it's the only one of these Movies that I saw, and I actually loved it... But you know how SF movies usually fare... not very well.

So I did not tune in this year and after being bombarded this morning about the Will Smith/Chris Rock nonsense I'm especially glad I didn't.

“CODA” became the first streaming-service (Apple TV+) movie to win best picture at the Oscars .

It's all over, and all the awards have been handed out.

As you will remember, the entries were color coded to reflect three levels of Risk in each category and the amount you win if you predict the winner
BLUE = FAVORITE = 10 WRZ$
GREEN = THEY HAVE A CHANCE = 20 WRZ$
RED = JUST HAPPY TO HAVE BEEN NOMINATED = 30 WRZ$
If you pick "JUST HAPPY TO HAVE BEEN NOMINATED" as your prediction for a category, you win if ANY of the people in red win ;)

If it wasn't for the "duel", it would have been the most boring one yet.

And while the favorite didn't win Best Picture, it was won by the second favorite that was close behind. I guess they went with the deaf movie to be politically correct
