The number of posters needed was smaller in earlier rounds. Each time we make it, the number goes up by one. Each time we don't make it, it goes down by one. Right now it's higher than usual. :)

Sorry, I'm no longer re-uploading expired releases.

No apologies needed Melrose your opinion is as valid as anyone elses. It's nice to see a new poster here and welcome. I agree with you that when people post out of sequence or don't bother to post a number at all it does get confusing during Rush Hour.
There will always be those who post 'I'm here' or a duplicate or random number...thankfully we have others who do their best to correct the post count and the Mods are very forgiving ;)

I mean I've tried two or three times now and one of those times I peeked out like a mouse and went "31?" followed by an overeager "Let me be helping!" Lol.

Part of my rationale for the parenthetical numbering was to maybe cut down on my own need to scroll back and check the sequencing. I don't want to derail. Still not ready to try Daily Dice again heh.

Yes, the mods here are super forgiving and friendly and normal Mobilizens too. Citibilizens? There should be a word.

I guess a firm "32. Yes it is 32. Just keep going" will work just as well or not the same way my aborted convolution would. *rubs hands together* We'll see.

Thank you for the welcome Anonnymouse. And you too avoran. *Gary Oldman voice* Everyone!

And next time my ideas will be more baked. Not half. Or I'll sound less baked. Ah crud. I am in a Moebius pastry. Sense shall prevail eventually in what I say. Yeah, that.

Edit: Serious question. Is there a grace period for you to figure out how much time your first post is from when Fast Five can be posted for Fast Five.

Like if I posted my first at 4:18 and five posts go by in-between and it's 1:24. Do i have a minute to go:

Merlose
Fast Five!
9 hrs 6 min.

And do I need to paste when my previous post was if both somehow show up on the same page? I'll read the instructions again but based on observation seems to vary. At least for posting previous post.

Please click Thank You if you download a release. Every bit helps. Now I thank you, in advance, for your consideration. :)

If my links ever go down, please PM and I will update as fast as I can.

In answer to your question re fast five I think you can post your 'Fast Five' post anytime as long as there are five posts before you first and 'Fast Five' post, once a sixth person has posted you have to start all over again.

I seem to recall Sathumbbs (the guy who's running it) posting somewhere that there was no requirement to post your previous post time and total time taken but that it would be helpful to him but sorry I can't find where he posted it (somebody please correct me if I'm giving out duff information here)

Hope that helps

It's not too difficult I guess to do the previous post time with some c & p magic. But that speed thing---I would like to believe I could just enter my name and Fast Five. After logging that, maybe I'd be able to edit in the time within a minute of posting.

Either way, thank you for the help. It's more than I knew before. :)

That's what I do Merlose...post the fast five, then go back and edit the time thing!
Welcome to Mobilism - best site ever!
Have fun, and you can win mucho WRZ$ in Daily Dices! (If you're fast enough to get in!) :D

Here you go Merlose (it was hidden in the Last will be the First thread)

sathumbbs wrote:New Update: If you are finding it difficult to copy/paste the previous post time, its ok no need to post it. You can continue to post in the same old format of 2lines.
Fast five+username. (But it would be convenient for me to moderate if u posted the time & duration). Its upto you. So no force.

As Emm says there's no reason you can't do your 'Fast Five' post and then go back and edit it to add the previous time and duration thing and I think it's what most of us do ;)

Thankfully raindrops has not banned me from Dice due to ineptitude. He (or she) was generous enough to explain how it works in a not short PM. Contrary to how that might sound, I'm really appreciative of the lack of brevity. It's a nice place here to just visit and that's definitely in large part because of the friendly mod presence.

All that said, I'm still fuzzy on Dice. I'll join one day.

arkonen took a lot of time to elaborate on how to release an ebook and I'll try to submit my first one today. Had a very nice PM conversation with him (or her---I defer to traditional identifiers when in doubt).

Two of the five people I've asked about renewing links were super fast and nice about doing so. Other three never responded. Bummer. But a shout out to moneyguzzler and jozen25 for being the cool side of the pillow.

avoran talked me off the ledge when I felt like I was ruining every Contest and I think he's a senator now.

m0o5 was nice enough not to be annoyed I sent a long PM about the Mobilism picture thread asking why my guess hadn't been notated only to realize it was the Regulars I had been looking at and not the Non-Regulars.

/Stand by Me

But yeah---this is the best site. I've joined a couple others just to cover potential gaps but I did only the minimum for privileges. It's not just the community here. The design and span of content has no parallel. I'm a Mobilizen 4 life.

And thank you for the tip emmilina :). You're about to colonize Mars right? It's for the book. Have to know.

Add another +1 in favor of allowing same minute posts to NOT break a chain.

The board used to show new posts made before you submitted your post.
Now it does not.
This feature is gone, and we have no idea if it will be returning again, or even if it is being worked on.

Until the board is fixed where it shows new posts made BEFORE you submit, I'm all for allowing same minute posts to not break a chain.

May I humbly advocate in favor of same minute posts not breaking the chain? I have been thwarted by this ambiguity at least once. It vexed me. Never again.

I'm still a n00b, but I'd like to +1 same-minute posts not breaking the chain in Chain Gang. Seems more fair that we don't let a limitation of the system cause a game to end prematurely when the participants are trying to follow the rules.

Ok - I was on the road when the same minute votes were posted. I was not really undecided. I was the mystery person or one of those that asked for the rule. I am FOR the same minute rule to not break the chain if the posts with same first letter in name were made during the same minute.

It is indeed too bad displaying posts before user finished typing has disappeared since it causes problems in some games (chain gang and others). Would be helpful to know why showing posts made while we are typing went away.

Voting to NOT let Simultaneous postings break the chain. It's a glitch in the system and out of our hands, so I see it as unfair.
