Chain gang is my favorite. It's easy tounderstand and play. Now if only Ngowda and merdhams would stop posting faster than me, I'd be all set!

Instead of the usual alphabetical order ABC... user names must be in the order ZYX... Rule 3 is also modified accordingly: "Numbers come after A in the alphabet (running backwards from 9 to 0)..."
In other words, the alphabet looks like this: ZYXWVUTSRQPONMLKJIHGFEDCBA(9876543210)[/center]

No. This is not a new rule, although the wording might not be clear.

If there was a user whose name started with a number, (s)he could post after A and before Z. But you can skip over the numbers freely in both backwards and forwards rounds (rule 3) - the brackets are meant to show that.

In the current round, with starting letter K and last letter L, the letter order looks like this:
KJIHGFEDCBA(9876543210)ZYXWVUTSRQPONML

So after A anyone whose name starts with ZYXW or a number can post.
If someone named 2Bornot2B actually posted, then anyone whose name started with 10ZYXW could post (or 2Bn, or 2A etc.)

I had almost decided to drop the new Chain Gang rule.

Not now. It stays. I'm sure jwpwolfpack's post in round 88 was not intended as a "cheat" of any kind - in fact I'm pretty sure he was making a sort of wry joke at his own expense. And I can appreciate the humour. But it still had the unintended effect of cutting out a (non-regular) player. And that's what this rule is designed to prevent.

People are "out" for various reasons in other contests with no offense. I'd like it to be the same here.
