I've never known a layperson in my life who would be likely to recognize and name this planet. The answer should have been an emphatic No.

What do people think of shifting this game back to more general knowledge subjects, rather than the obscure and/or specialized? Having to work through lists can quickly become very tedious.

I had thought of another general knowledge challenge question but I am not sure when I can spare 5 days for you to find the answer

I'm all for it, in principle. The problem is that what is general knowledge to some people is obscure to others. I'd be hard pressed to name 10 current Hollywood actresses or 10 London streets but could easily name you, say, 10 cities in Turkey or 10 nuclear physicists, even though neither area has anything to do with my profession. :)

I didn't precisely remember Kepler 22b's name without looking it up, but I did vaguely remember the news story about the first potentially-habitable extrasolar planet orbiting a sun-type star being Kepler-something. :)

That's why I said it wasn't your decision to make. Just to let you know, planets are considered to be part of a constellation when their star is part of the constellation too.

It's tough... The only round I felt was indisputably too obscure was the Manga one. Manga is a world-recognized conic style and has been incorporated into international comics. But the actual Japanese comics? I'm not sure how wide the audience is outside of Japan. Yes, it was English-language, but still. And once we narrowed it down to Japanese Manga, we were confronted with extremely foreign-like names to most Europeans and Americans (I think this is mainly a European board.) It would have been fair IMO to have the comic itself as the topic. But a character within such a niche-like comic? That was just too much (IMO).

The other thing about that is that I didn't feel I learned anything after all that work. :D Though I might have felt educated knowing about the comic itself.

Hope I haven't offended anyone here. Just offering an opinion. YMMV.
