Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Series by Various Author

Overview: Four turltes, mutated by a mysterious Ooze, follow the ninja training of their mutant-rodent Master Splinter to fight crime in New York. Named after the greats of the Italian Reneisance age and loving pizza, they are the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles began life as a mocking of Frank Miller's run on Daredevil. After the initial six issues, people loved it and a franchise was born.

Volumes 1, 2 and 4 were put out by Mirage Publishing. Volume 3 and the newest volume from 2011 (presumably numbered 5 in fan circles) are published by IDW. Because of the radical changes Volume 3 made to the turtles, fans class 1, 2 and 4 to run in sequence, with volume 4 taking the place of volume 3 due to what it ignores from the IDW-published volume 3.

Given the eratic publishing schedule of Volume 4, many fans do not think it will receive an ending.

Overview: Volume Two by Mirage carries on directly from issue 62 of Volume One now in full colour, but only went for 13 issues before cancellation due to lacking sales.

TMNT Volume Three by Gary Carlson
Requirements: CBR Viewer, 231 MB,
Overview: Volume Three by Image went on to be ignored by the next volume, owing to the amount of changes it made to the titular foursome such as Raphael taking on the mantle of Shredder and Splinter mutating further. The reason it went in those directions is because Peter Laird had little-to-no influence on the storylines.

TMNT Volume Four by Peter Laird
Requirements: CBR Viewer, 471 MB,
Overview: Volume 4 picks up 15 years after volume 2 (ignoring volume 3) and tells the tale of the turtles now in their 30's.

The final issue as of October 2010 is 31, with a To Be Continued - which will apparently appear on Peter Laird's blog at some point in the future.

Overview: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by Dreamwave, was published to accompany the cartoon which began in 2003. It only ran for seven issues before Dreamwave filed for bankruptcy.
