Requirements: CBR Reader. 88 MB.
Overview: In Narcopolis people spend their money on delicious fluids that basically keep the city sedated from reality. Buildings are covered in "SlickArt" (porn) and the vocabulary of Narcopolis is dumbed down from our standards today making it a bit hard to follow sometimes. Men are referred to as 'Blunts' and women as "Slotties' giving the distinction between man and woman through a reference to each others genitals. Narcopolis exists to protect people from 'BadEvil' which seems to be a disease which when contracted causes the victim to through up his guts and an immense amount of blood all over people causing them to immediately contract it as well. Also no one reads books or has pets, those are considered contraband.

This mini series gives a brief glimpse into the world of Narcopolis, a city in the middle of a filth ridden world covered in wastelands and garbage. In Narcopolis people spend their money on delicious fluids that basically keep the city sedated from reality. So it sounds like the formula for your usual dystopia and it really is just that. While it feels like it could be interesting or move into a different or unique direction it unfortunately sticks with Fahrenheit 451 for the most part. Keeping people's vocabulary to a minimum, helping emphasize just how far humans have devolved in this world, is a great idea, but sadly makes the story a bit of a chore to read and makes things a bit more uninteresting. And while that may have been the case as I'm sure Jamie Delano wanted it to be a hard read, something you have to work at to get through, I still can't see myself recommending it to anyone. This book is not entirely unworth the time you spend to read it, but I can't see myself reading it again.
