Overview: Battleships is a challenging and rewarding logic puzzle game. It is not to be confused with the two-player battleship game. This is a singleplayer puzzle variant of it, with gameplay similar to Sudoku, Shinro and Picross.




Your objective is to locate the hidden enemy ships on the map, using the given hints and the numbers along the map.

Thank you for posting. I really want to play this more, however the version that you have uploaded does not work correctly. It will install fine and play fine, however after beating the first 25 levels in the "Seaman" category, a dialog box pops up and says "Illegal Copy. Please buy the game to continue playing." with a Cancel and Buy button.

I've never seen this before on any game. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and done everything on Airport Mode on the iPod Touch. So I don't think it is "phoning home" over the internet. Could it be a file verification step and it detects a modified file?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

disable your 3g and wifi (using sbsettings) and then play the game and should have no problems it might be an internet connection detection thing.

Thank you for the reply. I am on an iPod touch so no 3G to worry about. Your suggestion of turning off wifi was already done. I must not have been clear with my comment. I first installed and played while connected to wifi. I got the error, uninstalled Battleships, and then reinstalled and activated Airplane mode which disables wifi. That is why I guessed if the app does some type of file verification step, or if the crack was not complete. Unfortunately it takes a solid 15-20 minutes to beat the first 25 levels to test whether you get an error after the Seaman levels.

Any other ideas?

maybe try udidfaker from cydia and generate a new udid and play the game.

not sure if this will work though, but worth a try.
