I even did a hard reset (clear storage), installed JUST MS Voice Command V1.6 on my Tytn, and then paired with the headset.
When trying to spawn voice command, I hear the audio connection starting, but that's pretty much it. After 10 seconds, it disconnects.
Ideas?
Hi,
I think it's TyTN's problem.
There is similar problems with it paired some headset (sorry, but I don't remember the HS types). Check it on a TyTN forum, or upgrade ROM.
Cheers,
Rob
Thanks,
Rob

VC when not in use hogs 2.4 MB of RAM because it's loaded in the background. That's a lot of RAM for a program that's not actively being used, but, hey, it works pretty well so, meh.
I have the Broadcom stack so BT headset initiation doesn't work. I'm still forced to press a button on the device to start up VC. If you have a device with a MS BT stack then you should be able to easily initiate VC using your BT headset.

For those of you worried about the size.....UPX compress it....i have heard it works flawlessly and compresses it to 1.3 mb active.
Dragon NS is a VERY processor heavy program. Even if these phones could handle the memory requirement, i wonder if they will have the processor necessary to run a program like this anytime soon.

Sorry,
Which one is the exactly program name, which compress it in memory?
I'll try...
Thanks,

Loaded the new version and this is what I discovered:
Really no difference except:
BT activation without having to tweak registry, but
I could no longer use BT as a you would a plug-in style headset for things like Skype. If the BT is activated it is using VC and as soon as you done with your VC the connection closes. Of course you can still use you BT as a headset if on a phone call, but I really enjoyed being able to use it with Skype because as you know this or a plug in headset/mic is the only way to use Skype with out having to listen to over the PPC speaker. (Of course if someone knows different please let me know)
Other than than that for all I can see v1.5 and v1.6 are pretty much identical on face value.

Not working for me. I can start it from my bluetooth headset but when I say for example, help it closes down. Does it needs to be trained first?

Yeah, agree! I tried UPX compress, what playdeep suggested to me. It' s nice option to minimize the memory usage of Voice Command and other programs.
Thanks for your help in it playdeep!
I wasn't happy about Voicecommand's big memory usage. Now I'm happy with it.

the recognition still sucks...and i've noticed that it doesn't announce my calls anymore and my ringtone plays for maybe 2 seconds. is there a way to make it announce the call THEN play the ringtone? my roomate has a simple little LG that does that and it's no where near being a smartphone/pocket pc.

I had the same problem. With announce function, the ringtone didn't ring, only a sec or two.
Now I didn't youse that function, than the rings are OK again.
I didn't find other solution
