Overview: Get Wireless Internet on your laptop through the Treo phone / HTC Phone (HTC Mogul, Cingular 8525, etc.) - The PdaNet software allows your computer to go online by connecting to your phone through the Hotsync USB cable or Bluetooth. Hi wjd73_59,

I did follow the release how-to sticky, plus when I posted this the format already built-in in the textbox, which shows the following:

Enter software name and version here
Requirements:
Overview:

More Info:
Code: Select allEnter link to the developer's web page about this software here

Download Instructions:

I followed the same method as my other post in viewtopic.php?f=38&t=26082.

I did comparison between my post and the how-to sticky and my previous post and I don't see difference, other than the "USAGE" line.

Is there any changes that I am aware of?

OK, done. The "NOTE" section goes after the "break" command, but I left the software information at the "Overview" section. Let me know if this is correct.

For the screenshot, this is a desktop software than run in the taskbar. The PPC version also run in the taskbar. Do you want me to get the screenshot of that? It'll be really small picture. Even the software creator didn't have the WM screenshot.

Add this screenshot and after the overview just a space will do.

Done. I saw that screenshot but I thought it's not that "informative" to the user, so I skip it.

Sorry for all the trouble guys, I thought I've follow the rules but I guess further guidance is still needed. :D

Any one tried this? The crack replacement was twice as big, where the previous cracks (1.73 and 1.72) pretty much stayed the same size as original. I just want to make sure since firewall needs to yield in this case. :)

The crack is a patcher, not a replacement. You just run it and it'll patch the original.

Regarding firewall, even with the trial version, my Comodo Firewall give security warning that is quite scary, saying something inline that PdaNet is trying to connect "invisible" on in that line. And this is for the unpatched, trial-and-original-version!

I have used it and works great, allowing me to use my HTC Mogul as modem without subscribing to the phone-as-modem plan.

I can confirm that the patch was not working. I think it worked initially merely because the 14 days trial and/or new mechanism was in place from the developer and not caught by the patcher. I already falled back to 1.73 and wait for another one....
