Excellent release. 15 WRZ$ reward.

Question. This release uses a cracked DLL. Can anyone confirm that this is not a DLL from a previous version?

I havent tried it myself yet. But did you have a previous version installed? Also was PIE running when you copied the DLL file?

I'm not using PIE a lot, I normally use Opera because it's much better than PIE, but anyway I gave this PIE Plus 2.2 a try.

Installed the CAB, replaced the DLL (without rebooting first, why should I anyway) and registered with 12345678. It works just fine, also after a reboot. It keeps registered all the time.

Maybe you should just uninstall the old version first, I installed it fresh.

I will try it out some more, just in case, but for now the verdict is

Tested/Works

Thanks. Used PIE and thought I'd look around for alternatives - saw a review on PIEplus so going to try it.

thanks for the try/tested post. Hate to install something that doesn't work

I wouldn't have posted it if it didn't work! :D

To maximize your odds of success intalling this, I would remove any old version first, then soft-reset, then install this new version, then copy the crack, then soft-reset again, and run PIE and enter in 00000000 as your code and activate.

In my opinion, the combo of PIE and PIEPlus make for the best browser right now on PPC. It handles downloads well, its fast, has tabs, etc. Really all the functionality I wanted out of PIE.

I did post a changelog. I listed the changes since v2.1, which was the last version released here.

Have any of you experienced the following strange behaviour:

Having Favorites with at least 3 nested levels of folders, both Pocket IE as well as PIEplus shows only first level of folders?

On NetFront everything is ok!

TIA for coments :)

Has anybody just tried the registration info provided with v2.11 (perhaps in this forum)? Does that work (with downloading the app directly from the manufacturer) rather than using a cracked exe?
