It works with your existing firewall, and requires no additional configuration. Hamachi is the first networking application to deliver an unprecedented level of direct peer-to-peer connectivity. It is simple, secure, and cost-effective.

Advantages of LogMeIn Hamachi
• LAN over the Internet Arrange multiple computers into their own secure network, just as if they were connected by a physical cable.
• Remote Access Remote control any machine on your network with Remote Desktop.
• Files and Network Drives Access critical files and network drives.
• Zero-configuration Works without having to adjust a firewall or router.
• Security Industry leading encryption and authentication.
• Cost Effective Basic version is free to use. Premium begins at $4.95/month.

The preview release of LogMeIn Hamachi Mobile is a secure VPN client for the Windows Mobile platform, offering connectivity from dispersed environments to your enterprise resources. It operates and behaves much the same as the existing Hamachi for Windows, with some features removed or modified to adapt to the Mobile OS.
Known Issues
* Stopping the Hamachi Mobile process via the Smartphone Task Manager causes the program to hang.
* Traditional Windows file sharing does not yet work reliably with this build. We recommend using Hamachi Mobile in conjunction with HTTP File Server, which, in our experience, works extremely well.
* Connections to Exchange server require ActiveSync over the Air to be set up in Exchange. For more information, see here.
* VPN feature does not work via ActiveSync.

The purpose is very easy: creating your own virtual private network with computers. You can browse windows shares, connect via ssh, vnc, etc. All data is encrypted.
Very useful app, I personally use it with strict university networks which make it hard to connect to your own computer on the inside, but Hamachi does the job! Available also for MacOS, Linux and Windows.

For whatever reason I'm not able to connect to my network. Says "network does not exist". But if I look in browser - it is there !
