Opera Mini 4.1 BETA (Freeware)
Requirements: PocketPC 2003(SE), WM5, WM6 - with JAVA runtime enviroment
Overview: One of the, if not best, web browser available for Windows Mobile devices. This is not the same as the Windows Mobile native application Opera Mobile. Opera Mobile is nicer than Opera Mini in a few ways (supports tabs/downloading of files). But in most ways Opera Mini is superior (Much faster rendering engine, dynamic zoom, renders most web pages just like a desktop browser, and completely free). Opera Mini 4.1 beta lets you have the full Web everywhere. This newest release includes several new features, including automatic completion of web addresses, making it easier to get to the sites you need; tools for attaching files to web-based email; uploading photos to your blog or other site; downloading attachments from email for storage on your phone; and saving and viewing pages offline.

Download Instructions:
1st step: If you dont have any java environment in your device, you have to install it. The best one is the Jbed application.

2nd step: Install the opera mini from the jbed, or just click twice on the jar file.

If you want to create a direct shortcut to start the Opera mini:
Create a shortcut (with total commander, or resco explorer...) what links to:
\windows\jbed.exe -run s0_
s0_ means, this is the first application what you have been installed into the jbed environment. (if it is the second, it will be s1_ )

Enjoy!

Please edit your release to the "how to post a release" sticky. Can't give you WRZ$ untill you do this.

Don't underline everything in the requirements and don't leave empty spaces.

Hi. I tried to follow your two-step guidelines; the Jbed app installed fine. Then I tried running the jar file, but it wouldn´t open. I got an ´App not signed with ...´message . Then I tried running the Jbed app from within the Windows folder, but got the same message. What´s wrong ? Could you give more precise instructions ? I have a FS Loox C550 deivice running WM6. Cheers!

I had no idea, but i checked the xda-developers forum.... it seems, there is a guy had the same problem, with a Loox device.

Question: "I installed several versions of Jbed, but none is working on my Loox n560.
I always get this error message when starting jbed.exe:
the file jbed.exe cannot be started. It is either not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components could not be found. Try to reinstall or restore the file."
Answer: "You must copy the SMS / phone.dll files into \Windows. Linked from the main chart. "

Thanks for the reply and the link, but I don´t get the heads or tails of it. The devices don´t have integrated phone modules. :o
