A .CAB file a day, for mobile users on the way, keeps installation problems away...

< .CAB file link(s) > added to opening post. (Unless specified all .CAB files are Rapidshare links)

Why should one install a CAB-file?

- direct download/install to the device, without polluting desktop PC by useless installed files
- CAB files are trusted. no viruses, no trojans
- Look HERE to find out how to install a .CAB file

This is the best wifi manager that I have seen.
I have been using it for many weeks now. Better than hitchhiker IMO.

Someone can tell me how this compares to Socket WiFi Companion?

{edit} It doesn't really. Somewhat different app. But I'll try this, looks interresting.

Promising new soft (check out their page, wefi.com,) but not working yet on
an x51v wm6. Will run but that's all it
does, no useful functionality yet.

They have separate versions for wm5 and wm6.
you can download from their site the version for wm6 and it should work:
http://wefi.com/app/downloadmobile.html/page/Download

2 things 1st:

1) Heh, this is the first time since I've made the leap of faith to football's
wm6 that I've missed having wm5 even a little.

2) http://rapidshare.com/files/106103185/WeFi.2.9.0.0.wm6.CAB
Hmm, I noticed this wm6 link in the first post, did you?

:)

Anyway, it's good to hear it's not a hardware limitation on the x51v, like it is
for the new HP's like the 211 - those will not work at all yet according to their
site.

I was concerned it might be because the message that pops up when running wefi
(wifi off, wefi option "turn on wifi" checked) is:
"YOUR DEVICE DOES NOT SUPPORT WIFI!"

After turning on wifi & running wefi, all I get is "No visable spots" (3 in range that
WLAN detects easily) and can still
only connect through ax's wifi WLAN utility.

I hope they get it fixed - support ticket already sent - because again, this looks like promising software.

OK interesting find??? I tried this on my Universal and it would not allow me to connect to my WIFI at home... And apparently it takes precedence over any other WIFI toggle such as SPB Phone Suite. Then unfortunately after I uninstalled it my WIFI does not turn on not even from my original Comm Manager?? Overall most disappointing. Guess I know now why it is a beta....
