What is actually different about this version though?
I see the information above, but it doesn't list any features or update history. So, I am confused on what this is even all about. Is this going to replace the current Windows Live program? Meaning, that you won't have Messenger, anymore? Or have they just not implemented it yet?
What about Hotmail, what is different?

I know it's a little confusing but if you install the 'normal' Messenger app (viewtopic.php?f=41&t=40352&hilit=windows+live+messenger) when you run it you will see two components running, Windows Live & Windows Live! :)

One is like the container and the other is the messenger app itself. There are other things in the container apart from Messenger like Spaces and Hotmail syncing.

This one just doesn't contain Messenger, so if for some (strange?) reason you didn't want Messenger then you would use this.

I don't think you could run both because the Messenger I linked comes with it's own Live 'container'.

Hmm. Ok, well I am gonna try it out, and see if it is worth not having the app mesenger. Although, since I have only Wifi, I won't be missing it all that much. I couldn't have been without it, when having a data connection, though. Will report back and see what all of the fuss is about.

I tried it out, and I actually like it. I prefer the faster sync then all of the added components, that seem to make the sync take longer. Thanks.
Although, I would like to see what they do with it next, since I can't seem to find some of the features, either; as already reported.

Update
Actually, I did try out, this, and I have to say, I will never go back to Windows Live Messenger, unless I need file transfers (rarely do I use them). I love it, and it isn't even beyond .5x.x... Imagine when it is released as a 1.0..

I finally got it to connect. Nothing spectacular here. Only place I can find the "Live spaces feature" was being able to send a picture from "pictures and videos" application. And you have been able to do that for a while with the other versions of MSN. I will stick with an older version that also has Messenger....
Anybody else find anything spectacularly new?
