PPCWarez.org AppStore 0.54 (freeware)
Requirements: WM2003+SE, WM5, WM6, WM6.1 - [S][W]VGA, [S][W]QVGA - .NET3.5
Overview: Rullaf's AppStore is a new easiest way how to get programs and games released on ppcwarez into your PPC! It reads from the ppcwarez.org and uses very useful cab file tags by G & a (thank you). Now also supports downloading cracks and additional files like manuals and databases. Search function has been also introduced. Check out the changelog for complete description.

Yep, I've forgot (10$for ya. thx).. I have already heard about the JAK Portal of yours, that's different a little bit; you have cabs stored on own server, this is picking links from ppcwarez.

Hi, can you add this suggestion? I can't stand PIE and use UCWeb and netfront as my browser. can you set your application to launch whatever is the default browser instead of PIE? can't be hard to pass a URL and let the OS handle default apps

Yeah, no problem starting the default browser via params I thing... Ok, good suggestion, thanks.

Another suggestion would be divide top half of screen for software application description. Have a option to turn it off or let user resize the screen.
only problem I can see is that descriptions of the apps might be huge/big and will take a long time to d/l them, why not cache it?
have a option to manual update every time user loads up application. this will also help with updating the apps.xml file

to make it even better , set up a script on some machine that pulls the apps descriptions and install it into the xml file. so ppcwarez.org won't get hammered all the time but only when your script gets auto-updated by you. hell you can set the script to find CAB file only releases automaticly.

And the rest would be the web browser? Or games? Neither's useful, for users with small screens (like me, SQVGA) it's ok to have the list over the whole screen. Also I'm planning to add search/filter function and order/sort so it will be much better. Thanks anyway

supports only the new cab tag format, so to avoid fails just most recent releases are included.

Yeah, I had hammering servers in mind, so the update file's only deployed with new version, genereted by another program I made. Soon app itself will have the update function, but it will just download the file from my server. Full database will have about 0.5MB..

I'll check that out, now please be patient until the fix (haven't you deleted the data yourself?). Don't forget that this is just a beta version, when I'll have time to add icon, I'll add it.
EDIT: Double checked it works both main and storage card. Please, what WM are you using? What version of AppStore?

This is an interesting application. Maybe it can be brough foward if someone can find a server and we can have a reliable, and easy way for downloading quick [and latest] versions of PPCWarez released software. It would give people an option to quickly access the latest version of software regularly, or new software, released on the site. It also diverts the need of Rapidshare, but that's probably way too far ahead for a possibility.

If anyone does want assistance with inventory if they acquire such a server, and would be willing to integrate it to this 'appstore' then i'd be more than obliged to assist.
