If it does not belong anywhere else and has to do with Android post it here.
You can change just about everything about the look and feel of android, theres tons of software to do it. Im a longtime WM user (Im the owner of this site afterall which used to be just WM
), but a couple months ago switched to android and love it. Aside from the lack of support for some media formats, and there still being a lack of certain software, both of which will definitely be available in the near future, Android is better than WM in just about every way.
Support developers.

I also switched from windows mobile (touch pro to Droid) and the biggest advantage of Android is stability. I can't even tell you how many times I had to soft reset my touch pro when running everyday applications like the calendar or internet browser. Now, I have no problems with my Droid. Regarding your statement about UI, I also thought that the Droid's default UI is ugly but I was able to change how it looked in about 10 minutes. The Android platform is very customizable and the Android section on this site is getting very large.

WM has been around forever, so there is a lot of quite mature productivity software for it. It is incredibly customizable too, just check out xda-developers site.
Bad thing is, because WM has been around forever most devices pretty much *need* to be customized to be workable. Notable exceptions may be the recent batch of HTC handsets, courtesy of TouchFlo3D/Sense interface.
But WM has been killed off as we know it - the new WM7 is more similar to iphone with regards to non-customizability and the walled garden etc. The 6.5.x will stick around for some years, but new software development will pretty much taper off.
The HD2 is an awesome device, but there are definitely times you want a stylus which it does not have (due to the very good capacitative screen) - WM has been developed with stylus usage in mind.
So very recently I was considering the HD2 (previous device was HTC Touch Diamond), but made the leap to HTC Desire. I'm getting used to it, and I do not regret my decision.
