Hi guys my question is easy but still I did not find good answers.

I have a Nexus One and I use Ubuntu Linux (No windows, No mac).
I would like to convert my movies in mp4. What can I use and which options should I use?

Thank you,
Teo

Avidemux; you can try for video encoding MPEG4 AVC(x264)@3-400kbps two-pass average bitrate,
resolution - depends on source, for DVD's you can use the original resolution, for HD materials use 800Xsomething,
while maintaining the original aspect ratio; for audio AAC(Faac)@ 96kbps stereo mix.
Consider these values as a start, experiment with them until you find a good fit. ;)

I got the Aimersoft video converter to convert my videos. Its a good converter. Many more features than handbrake like joining videos and conversion for almost anything plus really good subtitle support and support for many languages, also it's easier to use and seems to convert much faster than handbrake. It fully support my Nexus One.
