I have the problem that the memory of my G1(Dream) is to small to install a lot of programms on my phone. When I use the appinstaller I can install some programms but now the memory is full and it´s impossible to install another apps on the sd card. So my question is how can I install apps on the sd card and not on the phone memory or is it impossible?
A reason for this approach is for example to install navi with included maps(400mb or more).

If I'm understanding what you want, I believe you need to root your phone. Then you can use Apps2SD or a similar solution. Personally I have the latest Cyanogen rom so it has built-in Apps2SD functionality. I just partitioned my sd card as directed and it does the rest.

ive downloaded an app (snesoid) for my droid and it is a .apk file but im not sure how to properly install it from my computer to my phone
