If it does not belong anywhere else and has to do with Android post it here.

Hi

I have some applications that I've naught on my Google Nexus One. This was possible with the help from Market Enabled. Now I've got myself another Android 2.1 device. I have tried to backup these files with AppControl and put them on the other device, but all I get is "Cannot be installed on this device" :-( Is there some way around this? I can download apps and games on this site and they work, how did they make them installable?

I use AppControl to backup all my Market purchases to SD Card and then do as I please with them. I have a Sprint HTC Hero though. I guess AppControl needs to be updated to work on the Nexus One. You could email the developer I guess.

It is also possible to root your phone and them manually use the SDK tools to copy the APK files off the device. I did that before I had AppControl but I only did it once and do not remember the file paths exactly.

Can anyone else with a 2.1 device comment further.
