Does anyone know the best app that is available for recording phone calls using Android 2.1 on the Droid Eris? I have tried several but they all only do well when in speaker phone mode.

Well Recording phone calls without consent is illegal in some states. I think there isn't an app that can record conversations. The only hope we have to getting this is an app for jailbroken phones. There was a jailbreak app that allowed you to spoof your phone number. As a bonus it allowed you to record your conversations if you used the right service.

Well, yes there certainly are several apps that do this. IMHO, the best one is Ultimate Voice Recorder. It is highly configurable, and even allows you to specify which calls to record, and which not to record. It saves files as wav or 3gp, and you can even specify an email address to send the file to after it is recorded. There are no warning notifications or beeps to indicate the call is being recorded - totally stealth.
