Noob for the htc hero and Android world. Had a few questions:

1. How to install app straight to memory card?
2. Apps which are allready on phone, how to move to memory card?
3. Best way to unlock the phone, so you can use it all networks?

As I'm new to this (thanks for the tutorial) What does root your phone mean??? And is this the only way to store apps on memory card? No other way?

When is Android 2.2 coming out, anytime soon? What will be the difference from the current 2.1 version?

What about unlocking to all networks?

i think this is at the moment the only way. i can't find a better way.

ps: if you root your phone than can you lose your guarantee.

I don't think that, Android 2.2 will be officially released on the Hero, so the only option might be to root your phone.

The only way to sim unlock the Hero is to purchase a unlock code, (I don't think there is a work around), some sites charge £15 for this, or you could try Ebay. But you have to be carefull to buy from a genuine seller.

I managed to buy mine for £6.99 from Ebay, it worked okay.
