Hey wonder if anyone can help, when I try to download a file directly via my phone via a site like Megaupload. The count down timer stops whenever I move/scroll the page, have a phone call, phone goes to stand by etc...
(so basically I cant even see the timer and have to estimate)

The only solution is to refresh the page and try again(aka timer resets), is there a way around this issue? Im using HTC Hero 2.1 and tried the following browsers stock(WebKit 3.1), Skyfire and X Scope G all seem to have the same problem

could always set the phones screen off timer to 10 mins and download it that way

I know but I still have to estimate as to when the countdown will be finished and while Megaupload is only 45 seconds wait some like Hotfile makes you wait 30mins
So I will have to hope that I don't have a phone call or anything else in this time.

Is there no work around

maybe wifi but I dont talk much on my phone only talk about 30 mins a month rest is text email chats and sites

iPhone has the same problem. If im not logged in as premium, it gets stuck on countdown. And that little popup ad covers up the regular download timer rendering it unclickable.
