If it does not belong anywhere else and has to do with Android post it here.

Ok, here it is! I am moving from the stone age, my "dumb" phone a Motorolla Razr V3xx died after almost 10 years! So I am entering into the world of smartphones for the first time. I have ordered in a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ 32GB, and would like suggestions from the community in regards to what people consider good apps to use. While I do realize that is a very ambiguous question, please bear with me. Not having ever owned one, I do not even know what I would find most useful as of yet or what kind of user I would be. I would just like a little direction or opinions of others.

Thanks
Fallen

I don't recommend reading ebooks on your SGS6 Edge + as in time it will cause screen burn on your AMOLED display.

Depends on the types of apps you want to use.

Few of my fave

Photo editing:
Photo Editor by Aviary Premium
Afterlight

Live Radio:
TuneIn Radio Pro - Absolutely love that app.

You can give a look at Android Reviews for other apps.

Trust reading eBooks on a AMOLED display for long periods of time repeatedly will cause screenburn. As evident with my bratty little sister's original Samsung Galaxy Note. She uses it constantly as a eReader and I have quite a bit of screen burn on her display.

Thanks, good to know, as I have both a kindle pw1 and a Kobo aura H2O it is unlikely that I would be reading on my phone, but it is good to know just in case.

Photo editing is a good tool, and with so many to choose from I will give your suggestions a trial. I am not sure I will have use for a radio currently, but who knows what I will use my edge+ for now that i have it.

Well, my bratty little sister has been using her Note 1 for about the time as you as a eReader and her Note definitely has screen burn. But then again she has been using it to read for extended periods of time constantly.
