I've got an idea for you that I believe should work. What you need to do is go into your general settings and then applications. According to which version of android you're running you may need to hit your options/settings button and choose filter and show all running applications. Find the market. Hit clear data/ clear cache and you should be good. When you reopen the market it'll make you click through that you agree to the terms, but you won't lose anything. All your downloaded stuff is saved to google's servers so it'll refresh automatically when you reopen it. See if that helps
