Hey guys!

I've run into some trouble with my Samsung Galaxy S. Just yesterday I removed the simcard and ignorantly placed it into an unlocked Nokia phone thinking it would be all fine and dandy (I needed a phone to use for the day).

Now when I turn on my Galaxy (with my simcard inserted back in), half of the default apps are missing and I have no service. I'm assuming it was what I did yesterday that's causing this problem.

Can anyone suggest a possible solution before I contact technical support?

Thanks so much!

probably most stupid..... but did you insert your sim on the right way? :D

can imagine that the apps on your sd work, but the ones standard (on your sim) does not because it is not inserted properly.

I'd definitely try to login, I've had a similar problem before and it was due to not being logged in.

is your internet working on the phone? could be that your provider found you were not using smartphone and your plan was changed automatically?
and obviously, restore a backup if you have one.

Hi i am having a dell streak. I am not able to install 3rd party apps into it. Is there any kind of process for the same. Do we need to create any kind of custom boot or something. Suggest with a procedure to do the same.

This is why I have a CDMA device. SIM cards are one less thing to worry about. Good luck on figuring it out.

You can check your sim card in other mobile and check out, if may be do work properly. Another solution is that you can simply restart your mobile phone and insert a sim.It covering an everything from the T-Mobile to the very latest.

You might need to go to your providers store and have them reset the sim card for you. It might be possible to do it over the phone form customer service using another phone then your own.
