If it does not belong anywhere else and has to do with Android post it here.

hi guys, new in the forums here, so i apologize if this isn't the right place i should be posting this.

i've been having problems downloading anything from the android market on my xperia x10. this started a couple of weeks ago around the first time i installed non-market apps on my phone (from mobilism, i might add :D ). not that i mind too much, since i can now get the same stuff here in their full versions and much more, but it's still irritating that this particular function won't work for me.

i can connect wirelessly and browse the internet just fine (FB and youtube apps work great), and i can even load the market. but each time i try downloading anything off the market, it says "your item will be downloaded" and then ends up with a notification saying "download of blah-blah was unsuccessful".

any of you guys ever experience this? anything i can do? any info you can give me is greatly appreciated. thanks!

a few people on xda developers have had the same prob, it turns out to to be the last market update, they removed the update and all the problems went away. worth a try.

@ayemy - did that first. it was worth a try but didn't do anything for me. thanks though. :)

@mark67 - that did the trick. i'm assuming it's not advisable to update the market at this point, guess i'll be waiting for an update that works then. thanks a lot guys! :D
