- Titanium backup (only for android 6.0, freeze "Fused Location". Thanks to haremmon for the fix! ) viewtopic.php?f=438&t=1604381&hilit=titanium+backup

After installing the apps activate the modules in xposed installer! Don't reboot yet!

1)Activate developer menu! (+ also usb debugging)
2)Activate "Mock location" in dev menu
3)Open the app " Hide Mock locations" add Pokemon GO to the list
4)Reboot
5)Open SkyOlinHelper ,"Apps", add PokemonGO + Mock Locations + Fake GPS v4.5.2 to the list. (Read the info about the list adding.)
6) Configure SkyOlinHelper menu "Movable and Resizable" turn "Hide Titlebar" on.
7)Turn Location/GPS on. Mode: Device Only
8') Push SkyOlinHelper popup (if the apps are not showing force close SkyOlinHelper)
-Open PokémonGO it should be small size window, resize it, by holding down the right corner, resize it like for 75% of your screen.
-Push SkyOlinHelper popup again, open Fake GPS or Lock Locations app (try both apps, both have advantages and disadvantages. Test which one is working perfectly for you.) Resize Fake GPS, 25% of your screen
9)If the apps are not showing next to each other, push SkyOlinHelper popup, and open the app that is missing.
10)Fake gps not responding when switching back from Pokemon GO to fake gps, push Skyolinhelper popup and open PokemonGO again. Then you can switch between apps.
11) In Fake GPS slide over the map, choose location, push start. Check PokemonGO, switch back to Fake GPS, push stop, choose location, push start.
12) Enjoy!
Report errors, problems, I'll try to help!

Tip! Don't change your location drastically, move small distances, flying one country to another will get you soft-banned, means cannot you catch pokemons for a periode of time also pokestops won't work. When you play, try to stay in the same country!

2e Methode

Guys!! there is a new released app to spoof apps so PoGO doesn't detect you activated Mock Location in dev menu, which gives gps errors. Let me explain, I have android 5.0, maybe it's android 5.0 or just my rom, I don't know. But I cannot use fake gps or mock locations on the same boot. If I want to play with fake gps, I install all apps, activate xposed apps, add PoGO to the list in hide mock locations and play, but if I want to open mock locations the app says I need to activate mock location in dev menu. The problem is probably the apps are working against each other. If I want to play with mock locations. I need to deactivate mock mock locations xposed module and reboot, then fake gps app won't work anymore.

So with this new app everything works fine!! I can play with fake gps or with mock locations. I can switch between them. I changed the old post. Check it out, report back to me, if you need help.

Looks great man. I really appreciate the input. At least for me you have been a big help.

I did run into some problems though that perhaps you can help me with. I cannot get the xposed installer installed on my galaxy s4. Perhaps a pm would be better for this conversation?

I rooted my phone earlier today and was trying to get xposed installed for my 5.0.1 samsung galaxy s4 (sprint).

I found the website with the rom I am needing http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpos...lipop-t3030118 I would need Arter97's ARM (SDK21) version.

However when I go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpos...lipop-t3113463 to download it I get lost on which one I need. I have a snapdragon 600 with either 1.6 GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A15 or 1.2 GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A7.

At this point I get stuck/lost. On the youtube videos they simply have the button to click install/update in the xposed installer, but for me it's greyed out. After reading through the forums it appears this is because you have to boot into recovery. Which doesn't work for me. Cause I was trying to do a backup through twrp manager. It sticks on the screen saying downloading and I have to hold down power to reboot the phone.

Hope this is enough information to help me out. If this is the wrong section please let me know and I will be glad to move it. Thanks for your help/guidance.

Hey I will try to help you but I never had a samsung and the links are offline so I did little research. First you can install the app cpu X or cpu-z to check out which processor yui have for sure.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.abs.cpu_z_advance

I was a bit confused when you said you didn't know which rom you need flash, but it is called a xposed framework zip that you have to flash. That is why, like you said on youtube people just install xposed installer and push install en reboot and finish that was on kitkat android 4.4 and lower. But on android lollipop 5.0, you need to install xposed installer, reboot into twrp/ custom recovery and then flash the xposed framework zip. But because samsung changed much to its ART they are different from the stock android 5.0 like I have. So you need to install a framework that is for your phone, otherwise you will get a bootloop. Like it said on xda normally it won't brick your phone or xposed will tell you it is the wrong zip.

You need xposed installer alpha 4.apk
And a deodexed xposed zip. Because you said that you have snapdragon I think the best option for you is the v75 snapdragon version.
Image
Info about the new version v75
So i think the best option is the one before the last one, the v75 snapdragon

I couln't open your links, try them and let me know. I posted here to help other people too. Or if they have more info.

@fakerdetector. I apologize about that. Must have been cause I copied/pasted. I will try to fix those tonight.

As for the rom that is what I meant. I have to flash the custom recovery, but can't get to that point as when I reboot to the bootloader it doesn't work. Says it's downloading...

Hope that makes a bit more sense now.

I did have a post in the forum link you have at the bottom of the post, but it looks like it was either removed or moved. I just can't access it right now.

Thanks so much man.

Excellent write-up for the most part. One thing though regarding the GPS spoofing apps you've recommended.

Mock Locations is a heavier app (in my experience) but it allows you to create walking routes, control speed, etc, all of which will help avoid being caught spoofing. I haven't seen any other spoofing apps that have this functionality.

Fake GPS 4.5.2 does a decent job spoofing, but it is inferior to Fake GPS Location Donate 1.8.1 viewtopic.php?f=431&t=1547582. These are two separate apps, not different versions of the same app (they just happen to have very similar names.) The latter has all the same features as the one you recommend with one major difference: it can spoof not only the GPS location, but also the WiFi location. This could potentially help users who are struggling to get Mock Locations working if for some reason the system is still searching the WiFi location along with the GPS location (this shouldn't happen if you've set Location Settings to "Device Only" but who knows....) The way to enable the WiFi spoofing is to get the Donate version of Fake GPS 1.8.1, make it a system app (using Lucky Patcher or Titanium Backup probably) and then turning on the WiFi spoofing setting in the app.

Anyway, thanks again for the guide.

One additional thing: there's a new, very promising Xposed module which allows you to spoof location and move around from inside of Pokemon Go. It puts directional arrows on the screen I think. It's still in the early stages so I'm not gonna test it just yet, but it may be the best option yet if it works out.

It's called Pokemon Go Controls and can be found through Xposed Installer or on XDA.

I'm using the joystick and have the apps listed above and gps set to device only. The game doesn't seem to be registering distance travelled though? Any ideas

I haven't found any spoofing solutions (tried Mock Locations, Fake GPS Donate, and the Xposed module with the N,S,E,W overlay buttons) that actually consistently register distance traveled for the purpose of hatching eggs. It seems like the only time it registers and distance is when I've switched from Pokemon Go to the GPS app, Pokemon gets booted from the memory and restarts while I have Mock Locations "walking" a route.

Also of note is the fact that I legitimately went for a 9 mile run the other night with Pokemon in the whole time (no spoofing) and it didn't register even half of the distance traveled (probably more like 1/3 to 1/4 of my total run.) I don't know whether it's an issue with the app itself, or if it's noticed me spoofing and not logging my actual distance was because it knows I'm spoofing most of the time and couldn't differentiate, or if having all these modules and apps hiding GPS stuff from Pokemon Go causes some issue, or maybe it's even that my phone hardware is really sorta insufficient to play the game effectively, and the distance logging suffers. No clue.

Split screen looks so good. I've been moving between legit on my phone and bluestacks when I'm at home. And while slow it does work alright.

There are a couple Xposed modules that are currently in development that will probably end up making the Mock Locations and Fake GPS secondary choices. Essentially they create overlay controls that should allow you to make your avatar walk in the direction of your choice. I think they're still working out the bugs, but they are certainly promising. Most of them have development threads over on XDA if anyone is interested.
