If it does not belong anywhere else and has to do with Android post it here.

So I'm finally giving up my Palm Pre and getting in on the android fun. My friend has an iphone with cydia/installous and can download and install "backup" software straight from his phone. Is this possible with android? Thanks!

Applanet exists in our "software releases" section for gosh sake. I'd guess it would be okay to post the link here :p

Titanium backup comes to mind if you want to back up or move the contents of one phone to another, though.
