I have a transformer and I love it. It is one great piece of hardware!
On the software end, Honeycomb is still feeling somewhat like a beta. They really rushed it to market so that is what it is. It's getting better, and more and more apps are being made HC friendly. I've had more problems running older games than apps. Not everything scales. Alot of old apps will only run in portrait orientation. This has yet to stifle my use of the tablet, it just means I had to try more apps before I found one that worked well on my tablet. The games are what they are. I haven't found many old ones that port to the tablet well. Having said that, the tegra chip has really been driving alot of great game development, and I imagine as developers get more familiar with the platform the game design will only get better. I have enough games on it now to keep me entertained for the foreseeable future.
movies and videos are great on the transformer. They will play all your xvid and divx avi's like a champ. 720p mkv's not so much. The problem here is that most(90%+) of the 720p mkv's use the high profile, which tegra just can't handle. If you re-encode the audio in your mkv's to AAC, they run natively without a hiccup. Also, streaming from your home pc via wifi works great, with no re-encoding required to enjoy high profile 720p mkv's.
As to a tablet section, not sure. I just added my voice to a thread in this section requesting one, hope you'll do the same!
