If it does not belong anywhere else and has to do with Android post it here.

Hi people
I've got a x10 mini pro, and after installing some stuff, the memory is now a little short.
I've seen an app called "link2sd" which moves apps from phone to SD. For this, the phone should be rooted...

I downloaded Z4root, tried it and all seems to go fine, because I don't get an error, but link2sd keeps me showing the message that could not get root, etc., etc.

model: u20a
firmware: 2.1-update1
baseband: M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404006
kernel: 2.6.29 SEMCUser@SEMCHost #1
compilation: 2.0.2.A.0.24

Which other app should I try for rooting it? Should I flash a rom to it for rooting it permanently?

Thanks,

First do backup your data and do the upgrade system by SEUS ( Sony Ericsson Upgrade Service). This upgrade change your baseband to correct baseband. To do root the best is SuperOneClick , check this -> http://www.mediafire.com/?iengvql097hresm . You must only turn on USB Debuging (or something like that in Application settings) and do the root by superoneclick (this is very very easy).
I did root by this on my x10 mini pro
Enjoy

I'm confused... I've read somewhere that upgrading to latest SEUS would block the rooting... anyway, will try your advise and will update tomorrow after trying. Thanks zipperPL

all worked great. The problem was that I couldn't upgrade the phone on Windows XP through Virtualbox. I did everything in a normal Windows notebook, and all went great. Upgraded, rooted, etc.
