I'm willing to purchase an Android tablet and I was wondering whether a scenario where the Android tablet with bluetooth support could get GPS data from an external GPS receiver sent over Bluetooth? What are the eventual software requirements (merely around bluetooth)?

I don't think it will work, because bluetooth on most tablets are designed to transfer voice (BT headset), as USB ports are for storage devices !

In the meanwhile I tried it on an Archos 101 tablet and after installing GPS TrekBuddy (as far as I remember) it worked.
