1st off....I couldnt find another section to place this in so im sorry but the app "magnify" had ads that were like face changing app so i clicked on it and it downloaded a apk file that i installed than started it and I then got a txt message saying

Then i sent a message to them saying "stop" since i freaked out and they replied
"Swizzle Tips: You have opted out from and will receive no further msgs or charges, please visit swizzletips.com to rejoin the service. Support 877-522-2070"

I called them but they could only send me refund checks through the mail but i need it taking off the bill so my dad doesnt find out and get mad at me for downloading unknown apps. I have the Evo 4g with sprint and not sure what to do.....plz help if you could

This just happened to me. Two charges this month $9.99 each. There are companies that buy phone numbers then send text messages to them. If you don't reply STOP to the message, they charge your phone bill. I called Sprint when I got my bill this month, and they credited the account - no problem. They also blocked our phone numbers so these jerks can't charge us again. You should tell your father about this. He will need to call Sprint to take care of it. He will thank you for noticing the scam quickly so it can be stopped. If the charges aren't disputed within two months, they won't credit your account. You may have done something bad and deserve to be punished, but this wasn't it.

In case you deleted the original message, this is what mine said. Show it to your dad if you need to.

You need to pick up some social engineering skills. You may not be able to get it off the bill, but I know you can receive a credit for it. I would explain to your dad that you just randomly got this message without ever having subscribed. Just make it believable and no one will think anything.
