Howdy~

I got an SE X10i and lately I've been having issues connecting to my home WiFi.

I have just recently set an Static IP to my laptop since I'm hosting a game server, so this probably IS the problem to my issue.

BUT is there a way to work around this so I can keep my Static IP AND get my phone connected to my home wifi?

My phone connected before so its pretty much the static IP creating conflict.

Note:
-Using a Linksys router.
-Static IP Machine is connected wirelessly

Thanks in advance,
JT

The best solution would be to setup the static IP on your network router configuration page as well as on the computer which you are hosting a Game Server on. So that the router does not assign the same IP twice.

Or

Change the static IP on your computer to one that is rarely assigned/used
E.g. On a network such as 192.168.0.?? set it as 192.168.0.225 as the router will rarely dynamically assign this address.

Or

Otherwise a easier solution would be to set a static IP on your phone too. (Obviously to a unused one.) You should be able to do this in the wifi settings menu. *Although this method will force you to change your phone's settings whenever you connect to a different wireless network
