Is anyone else having problems installing apps. I keep getting a msg saying cant install app not enough space can not even update already installed apps. I have 7 gig of free space on my internal storage. I am using a rooted acer a500 running ICS and cant seem to get around this problem, any ideas would be great.
If it does not belong anywhere else and has to do with Android post it here.

I started having this problem about a month ago and read there was a problem with the GPS in the tablet writing info all the time and Acer came up with a patch which I installed, before the patch I had 4gig of space but could not do any updates or ad new apps. After the patch storage jumped to 7 gigs but problem adding apps or updating apps still remains??
Have tried contacting Acer but no go there.

Have you resetted your Acer Iconia Tab back to the factory default settings before and after you performed the update? As that maybe what is causing you problems.

Um, no you shouldn't need to unroot your Acer Iconia to reset it back to factory defaults. If you do a google search for it, you will find out how to reset you Acer Iconia to factory default. But remember to input the model number of your Acer Iconia into the search string otherwise you may get the reset instructions for another model which won't work with yours.

Did reset back to factory defaults with no problems and that fixed the problem of loading apps.
Thanks again

In that case I would recommend you contact Acer directly about the problem, as the factory default reset should have fixed everything. Have you tried checking the Acer website to see if there is a forum, maybe other Acer tablet users have had the same problem and have posted a way of fixing it.
Sorry I couldn't be of much help...

Had the same problem on my Nexus 7 but found a solution.
Go in to Lucky Patcher and select Menu and select Troubleshooting.
Now select "Remove fixes and backups"
Caution this will remove all patches you've made. (It's better than full reset back to factory).
Now I can install with no imaginary space problems
Hope this helps.
