I've scanned many apps/games from mobilism using apkscan.nviso.be and found malware. I don't believe these apps contain malware because people who've downloaded them would've commented as such. Should I go on an uninstalling spree or what?

Better you write this into the threads where you downloaded it, or report it by the icon.

I'm not really sure that answers billpish's question, I also am wondering if android apps I get via mobilism could contain viruses or back door installing trojans...

I've been here since the beginning... I have yet to download any malware or viruses. It's probably a false-positive.
