Anyone knows how to update a new game version (with Apk and Obb file) without losing game process?

For example: Im play Kingdom Rush v2.2 and I want to update to v2.3.

For the game with only Apk file, I just install Apk file and all data will be automatically overwritten. But Kingdom Rush has separate Apk and Obb file, how can I do? I also tried to copy and overwrite the old obb file and install new apk file, but it didn't work.

I've actually done what you've done in the past with certain game updates and that method always works for me.
