If it does not belong anywhere else and has to do with Android post it here.

I recently picked up a Nook HD+ and am interested in rooting this. How exactly can I do this?

I would prefer to be able to do this where it's a permanent one, not one where if I reboot it goes back to normal.

I'm new to Android and am clueless as to how to do this. I've looked online but everything I see is either A. extremely complicated or B. refers to older firmware.

I loved how on the iPad I could just run absinthe and plug in my ipad and it does it all with one click.

Anyone able to help me out with this?

You can find on XDA everything you need:

-general Nook HD, HD+ section - http://forum.xda-developers.com/nook-hd

-Android development - http://forum.xda-developers.com/nook-hd/development

-Root, Custom Recovery(CWM=ClockWorkMod) - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2062613

If you're new to Android, rooting, modding, etc., I suggest reading all description carefully and everything should be ok. If you're even a little tech-savvy, it might help you a lot.

I do not have the tablet, but I intend getting a Nook Simple Touch, which also sports Android. Also been an Android phone user for about 3-years now. It has become a capable "ecosistem".
