When a game features in-game currency (like gold or coins), Mod Money versions of those game have those maxed out. For example the Sims Freeplay Mod Money version gives you hundreds or millions of in-game money right from the start, so you don't need to spend endless hours of gameplay to gather money to buy new houses etc.
