I've owned WM phones since April 2002! .... and to today when I have finally moved to android.

I have a Desire, I have downloaded Swype for my phone from here viewtopic.php?f=445&t=121696&hilit=swype# And now I am stuck?! ...can anyone tell me how I go about installing the file I have downloaded please?

copy it to your phone via USB or by any means and then tap on it ..same you do to open pics..it will install automatically. this is what i do on my samsung galaxy S

After that go to --> settings --> language/keyboard. --> switch swipe on.

Then go to your sms or email and hold your finger long on the type section... you will get a popup with "input" asked --> choose swype.

now it will work.

ps. also have a look at "dropbox" to put stuff on your phone
