Discuss Android apps here.

Greetings! I am wondering if anyone here has come across an app that combines onthefly's ability to rename the apk according to program name/version number but include a more thorough app backup like system panel or myback does. I find that when backing programs get skipped because if same filenames. I find it easier to stay organized with ontheflys format.

Cheers for any thoughts

Ps - im not rooted so unable to try titanium atm

Androzip has got a good app backup and is a very useful file manager (can do zip and rar!) but I dont know anything which can rename the actual app.

Hope this helps,

- Install ES File Explorer from Android Market.
- Launch ES File Explorer.
- Bring up property view and select ‘Manager’.
- Select ‘App Manager’.
- Hold on the application that you want to backup until Operations window pop-up.
- Click on ‘Backup’.

That’s all. You application will be copied to backups folder.
From now on, I don’t have to access Android Market to re-install back these backup applications. You can too.
