I have installed k9 -mail to access my gmail account. I keep removing googlemail and it appears to self re-install. It sits in memory and so I am essentially running two mail clients.

any idea how I remove it.

Well Rooted means that u are a superuser kinda like unlocking your phone on windows mobile to use customs roms and what not. Go Here Read instructions and root then u can delete what ever system apps u want. Make sure u read the instructions carefully.
