I just came from the windows mobile world (so many people saying that now, lol!) and just joined the Droid world and so far I'm loving it but - I seem to be having the worst possible time trying to find a decent audio player that has one of the most basic features - CROSSFADING!

I messed with Winamp beta, Poweramp beta, MixZing and AstroPlayer Nova, none of them are ideal for me.

I like the UI look on PowerAmp and Astro Player and their EQ features. PowerAMp's appears nicer but it still needs work.

MixZing (Why is it called that?) also has a very good setup on how its UI works. The same goes for WinAmp, and WinAmp's widget for the home screen is the nicest.

But none of them have crossfading!

Crossfading can be a simple effect of mixing two tracks with a given set of seconds. Or it can be as cool as "SqrSoft Advanced Crossfading v1.75" which is a no longer developed winamp plugin for the windows desktop. It actually matches the beats of the two tracks it is going to blend together.

I was hoping that Android being better than Windows Mobile, it would have this already, which players on computers have had for over a decade.

Anyways, excuse my rant, I'm exploring my options. Does anyone know of a single player on the Droid that has the crossfading feature?

Also do any players out there have any DFX like effects to it? DFX people are you listening? Come to the mobile world already!

All of this was available on Windows Mobile via "Pocket Player" ... not as good as what I described (DFX and SqrSoft Advanced Crossfading), but it had it.

Thanks Master B, Lithium Player works pretty well. Im a little bothered that it doesn't have a back or forward button (WTH!), but at least it has it on the widget. I love the play button animation, and too bad it doesnt have an EQ and a feature to download album art. But it has my favorite "crossfade" feature. Its not a beat mapping one. It only fades the tracks together by a given set of seconds and kills the silence between tracks. And it does what it does well. I'm trying to test it with my bluetooth headphones, but its not going so well, It can pick up a track its playing, but every time I press play or next on my headphones, the other apps detect it, even though Lithium is already playing music into my wireless headphones. I had to delete winamp, now the player that came with froyo is picking up my bluetooth commands. I dont know how to delete that one.

SO far, for me this player is the best ideal one from the Droid players, but I'm still going to keep looking because its just not working correctly with my headphones. This is ideal for an out door situation at a park or something with friends, but not on the go with bluetooth headphones. =/

Been looking for the perfect player for a few days now. I'm almost loosing hope. In a way, things were a lil' easier on Windows Mobile's Pocket Player.
