HTC Evo has an official Android 2.2 OS. There's an option for tethering in settings, but sprint charges an extra for it, if I'm not mistaken. If you don't wanna root or pay the extra, there are options for tethering (via USB only) with PDAnet or Easytether. Look for them in the market (or here) and follow the instructions.
