I don't know, if this method could be applied to other phones, but this steps helped me to install the latest version of Swype at my Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 on Android 2.3.3.
It may work also for other phones with preinstalled swype.
Please note, that your phone has to be rooted!
I hope, you enjoyed this tiny tutorial. See you soon in the board.

It may work also for other phones with preinstalled swype.
Please note, that your phone has to be rooted!
- Download "Root App Remover" and install it.
- Now start "Root App Remover" and open "System App"
- Select the preinstalled Swype and select [Recycle]. "Root App Remover" saves all uninstalled packages, if something fails (Very nice option, indeed).
- Don't worry, your phone will reboot! That's normal, and if not, maybe you maybe didn't got Swype as standard.
- After the reboot, go to http://beta.swype.com/ and register an account for you. You'll get a confirmation-mail - so input a valid email!
- Now take your phone and open https://beta.swype.com/android/get/ in your browser. The Swype-installer will now be downloaded at your phone.
- Follow the instructions and confirm with the code, you got by mail.
- After that, the real installation will begin.
- NOTE: The phone may now say, that the service is faulty and will be closed. Ignore that and just reboot your phone.
- Well done, friends. You have successful installed the newest Swype for your phone!
I hope, you enjoyed this tiny tutorial. See you soon in the board.
